VOC Breathprint can be the next holy grail of medical science

Our technology is based on the analysis of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC). These are biomarkers created by human metabolism while under sickness. Understanding the relation of various VOC gases with their associated sicknesses creates an opportunity to recognize sickness from the exhaled breathprint of VOC gases.

DSA has developed an Analyzer that is based on a unique combination of nanosensors that are guided to recognize and measure several selected biomarkers. As different sicknesses relate to different sets of VOC biomarkers, we have the ability to re-regulate our set of nanosensors based on which sickness profile is under review. The same set of nanosensors used for COVID-19 recognition can be used for example for the detection of pneumonia or multiple types of cancer.

HOW DOES IT WORK

DSA BreathPass™

The unit contains a set of carefully selected and configured nanosensors that record Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) and other substances connected to the biomarkers to be identified in exhaled breath gas. The biomarker VOC's are born in human metabolism and their known relation - the VOC profile - with a given disease forms the basis for the analysis.

DSA BreathPass™ communicates with an Artificial Intelligence based cloud algorithm to calculate how well the measured breathprint of the individual's VOC profile matches with the known COVID-19 features. The results are available immediately.

DSA BreathPass™ and future development versions will be brought available for early detection of diseases such as lung and colon cancers and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

TESTING PRINCIPLE

Fast, easy and affordable

The DSA BreathPassTM uses a non-invasive method for detection of COVID-19 caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. The person exhales once (just 1 time), the device measures the exhaled breath for 45 seconds, characterizes the VOCs within breath samples, produces predictions for different health conditions based on Deep Computing algorithms and generates results in few seconds. The DSA BreathPassTM is used via the BreathPass Mobile Application which is available at both Google Play and App Store. User credentials are needed for the APP download and use.
